Z'ing the front
I have been looking a lot at really low trucks lately and seen some with Z'd fronts. This may be a really dumb question but how do they get the grill and headlights to line back up with the fenders?

Does anyone have any pics of "Z'd" fronts?
What does it do?

generally you are cutting out the part of the frame that supports your front suspension and raising it up. So now ALL your front suspension componets have more clearance. which in turn allows you to lower the chassis more. I don't have any piks, but basically you cut the frame before and after the front crossmember and raise it up up. It is called "Zing" because you cut the frame on an angle /, this is to retain the strength of the frame rail. Never cut, or weld on a 90 degree axis, as this weakens your frame.
