Re: Body bushing replacement

Classic parts , You'll also need core support mounts , Don't buy urethane unless you like squeaking

Agreed this is where I got mine. Both kits were complete with all hardware and shims if needed. Heres the link for the radiator support kit

Re: Body bushing replacement

I may over-tightened mine and the rubber split.
One thing the imports never get correct is the durometer of the rubber.
The replacement mounts were also cone shaped, didn't look anything like the originals.
I know Frank's Pickmups carries two different sets.
One is OEM quality?
Cheers

Re: Body bushing replacement

Both Franks and Classic Heartbeat are located in Olympia WA.
Franks sells on this board but to my knowledge doesn't do internet sales.
At least as far as I know.

Re: Body bushing replacement

The kits I got from Classic Parts was good quality stuff and I had zero issues. Been drivin the truck for two years still all good.

Re: Body bushing replacement

I just did a test fit setup of the radiator support this week. I sourced new radiator support to frame bushings from Classic Parts. You only need one kit. It has a set of two bushings Fit was exact to the ones on my 72 but cannot confirmed they were original. I had to cut the ones on the truck out due to very bad corrosion. Parts on the truck were not really identifiable until I saw the new kit. All the parts needed are in the set and appear to be of reasonable quality. I will echo the opinion of rubber over urethane. The harder Urethane will provide zero improved benefit unless you are looking for every last drop of chassis performance for racing and don't care about noise and harsh ride.
