HELP with Vintage air

If this needs to be posted somewhere else move it or tell me where?

I'm not very good with A/C units and there web site is a pain to find things.

Somewhere I was reading and my understanding was that your A/C may or may not freeze up and this switch is a fine tune switch under the dash somewhere, set it and your done.????????????? wire diagram (top left "A/C Thermostat") or what part # is it??

"Control Module" (bottom center) is this the "Control Panel" or what is it???

what you are referring to is page 12 of the instructions
It is a thermostat for the compressor.
Normally you leave it its settings from factory but it allows for adjustments if you freeze up (aka high humid locations) or are not cold enough.
In the diagram you posted it is the thermostat next to the air compressor itself on the black wire. it can be a rotary or a slide type depending on when you got your ac unit.

Note if you ac lines are properly charged you should not have any issues.
