Harmonic Balancer

Planning to build a 350 and need a balancer, what is the difference in the sizes of these? 6.75" vs 8"

And what should I coat it with?

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/s...nova/year/1970

Thanks

Re: Harmonic Balancer

Honestly, I don't know the answer to your question, but when I installed my crate engine, I went with the smallest one, a 6 3/4".

Re: Harmonic Balancer

I know for my 93 it had the larger, but the replacement 350 I got out of a Cadillac had the smaller. The timing marks are indexed different on the balancer and spaced for the appropriate diameter on the timing cover, so you have to use the timing cover made for it.
