Re: LS intake prefference?
Honestly, neither.
What are you going for? Performance, economy, or looks? On my LS swap project, I'm putting less emphasis on looks than on the other two. I'm using the stock GM TBSS/GMT900 intake manifold. If appearance is the main goal, then choose whichever looks the best to you.

Re: LS intake prefference?
Honestly... that's the look I want.... I'll have plenty of performance and I just don't like the look of the stock plastic intakes...BUT... If if I did, I would go with the Trailblazer intake too.

Re: LS intake prefference?
The Dorman LS7 intake is a popular performance upgrade. It flow very well and has a clean look.

Re: LS intake prefference?
I like and have used the LS6 and LS3 intakes on a number of swaps. Depends on the heads.
I do like the look of the fab type intakes but per the folks over on LS1tech.com they give away a bunch of low end torque. If I was building a big inch (400 cubes and up) LS depending on the cam I doubt a person would notice. A number of years ago Hot Rod mag tested all available LS intakes and showed the results. |
