New spindles necessary?
Im working on a list of rebuild components for suspension and brakes for my 72 Burb. Going to be totally stock. I feel like the springs, both ends, should be replaced considering they are 50 years old. Unsure about spindles though. I dont really want to wait until its torn down and have to wait for extra parts I should have purchased initially, if it needs them. Are spindles something that usually "go bad"? They dont have a ton of miles on them, and back when I was driving this Burb many years ago (its been sitting since then) I had no weird front end issues. Thoughts?

I wouldn't replace them. They can 1m+ miles without needing replaced if you keep up on maintenance.

Inspect and keep original ones .
Check the threads, bearing fits and seal fit. The tolerances on the new ones may be

Never had to replace a spindle unless a bearing went or it was rust pitted from sitting in water .

They carry the wearable parts, like a block, heads, cases, and housings. They carry the wearable parts.
