12:1 is a pretty hefty squeeze for the street....should sound good, can't beat that compression pop.

Re: New Engine for Sons Truck

Same question which one? I am in the process of installing a Blueprint 355 390HP into my 68C10 with a Muncie M22.

Re: New Engine for Sons Truck

FWIW I also have a Blueprint 355 (actually a 357) in my 67 Camaro. Excellent motor. Mine dyno at 411hp/413/tq. The actual hp is more than it is advertised at. These are new motors. not rebuilds. They get their blocks from a foundry in Ohio.

If my 6 cyl ever dies in the C10, thats what I will put in it

Not all of Blueprints engines are new, many are reconditioned blocks and says so right in the description, absolutely nothing wrong with that though. Many are also new virgin blocks of their own casting. I have a 427SBC of theirs I put in my camaro a few years back, its but a great little runner. It's going in the truck when it's ready for the drivetrain.

OP, that engine should be sweet, with everything else done to it was it converted to a roller cam?

Relative to the SBC blocks, note what is said by shop mgr at beginning of video.

https://youtu.be/Jzr2U8bGpvc

I know the descriptions in specs on web say reconditioned,,,,when I ask them the ? they said that info on web had not been updated. My particular motor said same thing but the motor I got was a new cast block. Blueprint is cast into it.

Perhaps some other of their motor types are rebuilds

Agree though a rebuild is fine as is OP's motor. My comment was just reflecting what their video description is. Their facility is pretty impressive and speaking from personal experience their motors are very good
