Angle strips?
I’m milling up my bed wood and getting ready to stain and seal it but I’ve got one question, do the 2 edge pieces 4.25” wide get a notch for the angle strips or should the strips set right on top the board? Looks like it would work either way and still line the bed parts up about the same. Anyone know which is correct ?

I'd have to go out and look at a bedside I have off that is out back but I don't think the angle strips have as much of a lip on them as the bed strips do. The grooves in the wood for the bed strips are designed to let things move and wiggle a bit.
