The bed needs to be lined up I can't get the gap between the bed still and the cab right

It may not be all in the bed. Try measuring fron the same place on each side from the rocker to the frame. Straighten your cab if it isn't square. Then unless your frame is bent, it should gap just fine.

Did you put new rubber cab bushings on it? If not, I would take a good look at them and see if they are deteriorated or split. That can also cause what you are experiencing. LockDoc
