NP205 Stick Pivot Bolt. You Must Be Kidding…
$90-$100!? If they have it. Which they don’t. Any realistic alternatives?
I was going to use the adapter from a ‘72 on my ‘70 burb because one of the bolt holes on the bottom for the mounting bolts was stripped. I’d run a long bolt all the way thru that hole and put a nut on the other side. Worked, kind of tacky. Oh well, I may just have to be tacky because I doubt I can pay $100 for a bolt. If I can find it… |

I won't promise it'll fit but this looks to be a lot less money.

My local machine shop is able to make them. Might look into that route if you are wanting new. You could always pay to subscribe and post a want to buy here on the classifieds board. They come up for sale semi frequently there.

Re: NP205 Stick Pivot Bolt. You Must Be Kidding…
I am currently using the JB bolt, it's a 9/16 on the threads, plus I had to use my own bushings. I use an aluminum advance adapters aftermarket transfer case adapter so the threads were larger than my stock cast iron adapter, it had 7/16(I'm pretty sure) Check the threads. I also have and non bushing bolt with a 9/16, but I like the bronze bushings better, it has a smooth action.
But, if Accelo makes one for you that the best answer/solution. j

Re: NP205 Stick Pivot Bolt. You Must Be Kidding…
Anybody that has the original new GM bolt, part #14009313, wants about $100 for it. Looks like it’s been discontinued. That’s the greasable one.
Thanks for the responses. I just ended up welding a new head on the old one I had. Took too long, probably should have spent the money. If anybody is interested, sbc valve spring shims are perfect for washers to take up any slack. |

Re: NP205 Stick Pivot Bolt. You Must Be Kidding…
I made one, based on one I had here, that may or may not be correct.
Here is a picture, the threads are 1/2" NC. Somehow I don't think that correct. If it will works for someone it's $30 includes shipping. I can drill it for the grease fitting if that's important. Last edited by Accelo; 03-26-2023 at 01:59 PM. |
