I think I killed my carb!! lol

Well I put on an adj fuel pressure reg.....that all went fine. Set it at 5psi. as per instructions from guy at Scoggin Dickey.

Took her out...ran great...better than ever....no bogging ...ran stronger than ever and was spinning madly lol!

then out of no where i let off after a 1,2,3 blast...its idling weird. THen it dies. Wont start. Think its flooded...but its not. So i pump the gas a lot and it starts. But sounds like its running on 5-6 cylinders...so I freak. Wont idle without pedal and popping and running like total ass. Finally get it home and its horrible. Stumbling and popping still. Thinking maybe a float or something is stuck...I try reving it and it clears in the upper rpms but then gets horrible down low again. Its leaving BLACK stains on the concrete and wreaking of gasoline.

I get mad and put it in the garage and wait till the next day.
Start it up in the driveway after pushing it out so it doesent make the house smell of gas again. Its doing the same....I shut it off....look at the intake cause i smell major gas...its dripping/running out the BACK SIDE of the carb on both sides....WTF???

All the while its still registering 5psi of fuel pressure while running.
So....What do you think has happened?? Float Stuck? Cracked something in the carb itself?? anyone else ever experienced something like this?
IM just glad it appears to be carb related...thought I Fecked up the engine at first lol.
Im choosing to laugh at it now..I found out that being mad at it was not helping haha.

I have an adj. regulator and I can't trust the gauge. It happened to me too, try 4psi or less if needed till it stops flooding. Just trial ad error

It sure sounds like something stuck in the needle and seat. I used to have a carb that a PO had repaired with JB Weld. It would do that about once a month. The only way it would start or run was floored, so that it could actually use all of the gas that was pouring into it. I got really good at pulling the carb apart on the side of the road...

Looks like something stuck in the needle and seat to me. Had this same problem on my truck. Took a while to figure out as it would clear up but begin again when another chunk came up the fuel line to get stuck.

The new ones have a protector to prevent the powervalve from blowing. But I need to check it too.
