Gauges in the Heater Switch Panel?
Anyone mount a couple of gauges in the panel where the heater switch is? I've removed the Thrift heater system completely, I'm planning to add a Vintage Air under dash AC/Heater system as soon as the wiring is finished.
This panel looks like the perfect place to mount a Oil Pressure and Water Temperature gauge. Anyone have any pics of an install similar to this? |

I know I've seen em mounted in the heater control panel, just can't find a pic right now.

Re: Gauges in the Heater Switch Panel?
You may want to decide on your AC controls are going to go before adding gauges to that spot.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to do the Mark V underdash unit from Vintage Air, all the controls should be directly on that unit, but I will confirm. Going for the old school look...

That's cool! I installed my nitrous arm and purge buttons in my ashtray.

Re: Gauges in the Heater Switch Panel?
Great choice on AC. That's the unit I am considering. In that case I think the gauges in the heater control spot looks great. I haven't decided what to put there.

Re: Gauges in the Heater Switch Panel?
Thanks, I bought the red LED dummy light from O'Reilly's and the sender for it was a generic 135 degree brass one on Amazon. The sender will sometimes trigger the light when I restart the motor on triple digit days after a brief hot shutdown.
