Why do all the posts say you can’t fit a square body seat in a 60-66? I just put it in (no adapter brackets). Look like quick adapter barckets and it would be fine .. I’m I missing something ?

No people use many different years in our trucks. I've don't recall seeing a post that said they couldnt.

You can put what ever you want in your truck, as long as the doors close.

I use seats out of the early 90's just because they pretty bolt in with only drilling the rear holes and they are more comfy.
