SPID question
Every option I see online is 3 digits, my SPID has 6.
What am I missing? Truck has a bb402 with th400 now, but looks like it started as 350? Really looking for paint code, says dark blue, but it doesn’t quite match that paint chips… I don’t. Trying to learn. |

Option codes show up both ways I believe it depends the plant and or year built. Someone here will know for sure. Here are some others for comparison.

The actual option code is the three characters in the middle, ie: C60, LS9, G80, Z53, etc.
The leading character "1" is (obviously) a dummy character that adds no value. The following characters are ECL's (engineering codes) which further define or modify the option, but not all the way down to the part number level. They eventually fell into disuse and were either printed with additional dummy characters, or not printed at all. K
