Should I shim up the window seal somehow?
Here's a pic of the passenger side window, near the vent window. As you can see from the pic, the top left hand side of the window has a gap. I'm trying to get rid of that gap, without pinching the window seal too tightly.
It's a new seal, and I noticed that you can see light coming through it in that area. The rest of the seal all seems seated pretty well. There aren't any issues. But I'm a bit concerned that water will be making it's way through that hole when it's raining, and it must be adding wind noise. I peeled some of it down, to see if I could somehow manage to shim it up. But the channel is quite deep. Deep enough that I thought I'd better ask before I went stuffing various kinds of shims up in there. Any ideas? I think a shim might be the right idea, but I wouldn't want to cause problems with the seal. Thank you Last edited by bennylava; 03-11-2023 at 11:35 AM. Reason: Pic upside down |

Re: Should I shim up the window seal somehow?
Pic was upside down, here's another attempt. It does look like the rest of the seal isn't seated quite right, and it may not be right now. Because I've been messing with it trying to figure out a fix.
