Re: Non AC copper heater core
I bought my A/C truck heater core from NPD. It looks good but haven't installed it yet. They appear to have the non-A/C truck version as well. https://www.npdlink.com/product/core...-outlet/194464

Re: Non AC copper heater core
Just be aware there are 2 sizes of heater cores. See thread.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=75563 This may be called out on your SPID as Deluxe heater as mine is. 2nd column 2nd item. I've also heard they were standard when shipped to dealerships in areas with cold winters so it may not be listed.

Re: Non AC copper heater core
No deluxe heater on SPID
This truck was delivered to an Arizona dealer sold to an Arizona customer and spent it's whole life within 22 miles of its dealer in SE Arizona. So it's likely I have the small core...maybe? |

Re: Non AC copper heater core
I'd roll the dice on that.

Re: Non AC copper heater core
I had a '68 Skylark that the "replacement" heater core was about an inch shorter than the original. The aluminum "replacement" was the same size. One never knows what they'll get anymore, what with the Chinese stirring the facts.

Re: Non AC copper heater core
Classic parts one of my go to places even though an NPD location is close to me. They offer aluminum and copper/brass heat only and with A/C The copper heat only https://www.classicparts.com/1967-75...tinfo/68-231C/ There are dimensions provided to compare to original.

Re: Non AC copper heater core
Are those little insulators on the tubes factory? If not, where did you get them?

Re: Non AC copper heater core
Thanks for posting that info. I have the foam gasket for the box to firewall but had not seen the ones for the tubes before. Back to your regularly scheduled programming...
