GM Truck RPO characters - (Regular Production Option)
Trying to discover what size my stock 1971 c10 wheels are (anyone?) and came across this.

Tony, I think 15x6 would have been standard on your truck per the 71 brochure specs.

Re: GM Truck RPO characters - (Regular Production Option)
I think you're probably right, thank you. The wheels per my build sheet are AKAK2, but I've found no information for that. PV5 (H78-15/B) tires though, your image supports it. Oddly the RPO list in the OP doesn't include PV5.

Re: GM Truck RPO characters - (Regular Production Option)
I don't know anything about RPO mumbo jumbo for 15" wheels. I only know only 15 x 6s were offered... in 15". The other diameter wheels were never an option, they came along with the tire option that required them. On a 20/30 series Chevy, you got 16.5 x 8.25s when the truck shows 10.00 flotation tire option. The wheels were not shown as the option

Re: GM Truck RPO characters - (Regular Production Option)
You are welcome.
You are not going to be able to get that level of detail through the RPO. For example, for rally wheels the RPO is N67, but that covers 15x6.5, 15x7 and 15x8, depending on the vehicle (van vs pickup) and tire size used. Same RPO, different wheel widths selected by the engineering release charts. K
