kick down
I have a 1966 c20 V8 with a 400 turbo trans. My transmission is not kicking down. It has this switch mounted on the for the kick down. Any way I think that what it is. My manual for the truck says turbo 400 info is in car manuals. Anyway is this the kickdown. Sure looks factory. My trans has a wire hock up for it. The carburetor linkage works with the switch. been looking on line can't find much info. Trying to check the switch to see if its good

Re: kick down
The switch provides power to the kick down switch when activated.
Use a test light and unplug the transmission connection and have a friend activate the switch with the motor off but the ignition switch on. If the light works the connection is good. Then have the friend floor the gas pedal, again with the motor off, ignition on. This will test the switch adjustment. About all that is required to checking the external to the transmission circuit. Re: kick down
Yes you have the stock setup. Could you possibly post some more photos as i am trying to figure out how to set up my switch on to an Edelbrock carb. Im also looking for how the wires hook up to the stock switch. Thanks
