hey guys, it seems that my clutch pedal doesn;t want to come back up when my truck is cold, but when it warms up there isn't a problem. anyone know anything I could do to fix this? last night driving home from work, i would have to depress clutch, shift, push clutch pedal back up with toe, then gas it to change a gear.

Sounds to me that you are missing the return spring. The spring that you are supposed to have goes between the pedal arm and the dash.

thanks for your response, but i'm pretty sure its there...maybe I should clarify a little. The pedal returns normally when it is warm outside, or when its cold and I have been driving the truck for a while. But when I first get in it to start it up, the pedal goes down and comes up very very slowly, so slow that I have to push it up with my toe out of fear of burning the clutch. Also does this when driving. Very irritating pushing the pedal up every time I use it, plus it rips up my shoes (those pedals are sharp!).

I would say the grease inside your pedal shaft and z-bar is getting cold and making it harder to move. I just rebuilt my pedals. You aren't in a really cold climate, so I would think if you took it apart and regreased it, it will be fine. That grease - if there is any left - is over 30 years old.
