Soft brake line clips
Anyone have an answer to this ? I got braided lines for for the front disc conversion but the frame is too thick to get the clips on. Someone suggested a hose clamp on The back end but I practically would need to take the motor out to get to them to do that

Re: Soft brake line clips
Maybe an "L" bracket of some sort that is 1/8" steel material fastened to the frame instead of going thru the frame. No hose clamps for me for anything brake wise.

Re: Soft brake line clips
Actually a good idea. I've seen that on vehicles before where the fitting comes thru the frame to the L bracket where the soft line is attached too Intead of behind the frame.....back to welding...thanks

Re: Soft brake line clips
You need a set of these... https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speed...ose,45896.html You also need to know where to locate them. The drum brake trucks are located on the rear of the crossmember where the disc trucks are located on the front of the crossmember. Do your research and study the factory front disc trucks...

Re: Soft brake line clips
Made a couple of these up. I'll get them painted and either spot weld or bolt them to the frame

Re: Soft brake line clips
I would like to see pictures of the final attached product if you can, please. What truck model and year is it going on? What shape is the hole where the hose is mounted? I bought bolt-on clips and modified them to mount the hoses in the 71-72 position in front of the crossmember, when I converted my 69 C10 from drum to front disc brakes. But I'm not entirely satisfied with how it turned out and will probably improve it in the future.
