factory cruise pics

Just bought but have not picked up yet a 72 Camper Special ,BB TH400, A/C, tilt wheel,2nd batt box, cruise. My question is that I don't know what a factory cruise looks like. If anyone has a pic of what a factory cruise setup should look like on the column and under the hood I would really appreciate it. It needs rockers and cab corners but I got it for $1000.00 and it runs. Been eyeballing this truck for 5 years now and heard last night the old guy was ready to sell. I go on graveyards until tuesday and then it will be in my front yard. Thanks again for any help with the pics. Jeremy

i hope you already paid for it and have the title i found a great deal on a truck once for 200 i paid the guy half and told him i would give him the other half when he found the title and i picked it up the next day. i went home and told my buddy about it and he went that night and told the old man he worked a deal out with me and the old man was to sell him the truck so needless to say i got screwed
lesson to be learned pay in advance and get the title before you tell anyone

Escort II Electronic Cruise Control

I'm also interested in seeing pics of factory and aftermarket cruise.

I just bought a 71 K20 with a turn signal stalk that has a sliding two position switch and a button on the end and a rotating adjusting ring around the button. It used to say "Escort II" (I think) on the side of the stalk. In the glove box are installation instructions for "Escort II Electronic Cruise Control for Automatic Transmission Vehicles".

I'm going to ask the prior owner if he has any of these components, most of which look like they are removed.

If anyone needs them, the Escort II installation instructions are in very good condition and I could scan them to share.

The one that I have has some sort of mechanism that mounts on the tilt handle. Then there are some cables or wires that run to a box mounted on the drivers side fender and they run out of that around the back of the carb. Have not had a chance to tear anything apart yet but when I get it home next week I will post some pics of it. Jeremy

72 did not have any controls on the turn signal switch like the 69 - 71 did, it was under dash only.

I have an underdash cruise setup like the one shown above on my 72. The only thing is that the rubber on the diaphragm has broken. i dont even know if one could find replacement rubber for that or not.

Ahhhhhhhh.. My bad. I am just excited because the cruise is a hard to find option. I just want to confirm that it is in fact a real one.Sorry for jumping the gun.

If it is a 72, and the controls are on the column, then it was added later.
