Re: WTB T 221 transfer case shift knob

I didn't think the rockwells had a shift pattern on them in 67-69.

Thanks Too Much, I am not exactly sure either. Mine came with the sticker up on the roof, but over time it disappeared when I sandblasted the cab, and I did not take a photo of it. But it came without any shift knob either. At this point I would settle for a plain black knob too. But it would be nice to have one with the shift pattern on it. I think they were used as early as 1960-- but I am no expert.

Re: WTB T 221 transfer case shift knob

I would be willing to consider a plain black knob too. At this point I have nothing. Just a bare shift handle

A quick search , I found this

Link: https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/rugged...-BKMS-11420.24

It may have to be modified as far as the threads in the bottom go.?

My 68 with a T221 does not have anything on the shift knob just the sticker on the roof.

Re: WTB T 221 transfer case shift knob

I have a nice original plain T221 knob and also have a nice knob with the correct pattern on it with the correct 3/8"-24 threads.

Thanks, I think I am reading this wrong. You said the knob on the left has the correct shift pattern but I do not see a **** pattern on that one. Thread size is 3/8- 24? The one on the left looks plain black. And I too wonder what the knob with the pattern came from.

Link to the the sticker...

FYI - My '69 also does not have any shift patterns on the stick or the transfer case shifter.

Not sure what it came off of originally.

No you read it right I just made a mistake when typing. Yes they both have 3/8-24 threads.

I will pass on the knob with the shift pattern. Something about it looks a bit odd. I like the plain one better.
