engine code pic added

hey i took a pic of the section that has a a number it looks like 3879010 im not for sure but i cant find the code on the net can anyone help.

Haven't seen a 3879010. You sure it doesn't say 3970010?

Anyway, 3970010 is a 69-80 4" bore block with either 2 or 4 bolt mains. By 4", it could have been either a 327, or a 350. Probably 350 since they were more common.

The Hecho in Mexico gives it away... It's more than likely a Goodwrench 350 block.

I can't really make out what it is. It does favor a 8. But from all I know, all 010 blocks were 3970010.

Get the numbers off the pad in front of the passenger side head. There will be two rows.

I only found one set of numbers on the pad and it is MH08800
