WOW! you've gotta see this 39K mile '68 anniversary truck for $8500

Ran across this one. Looks to be an anniversay truck, but I'll let you guys decide. Here's the link:

I would have to say yes it is. The only real way to tell is by the 551 paint code and the 626 interior code.

Something tells me we've seen that truck before.

The seat is the wrong material and the hub caps are obviously wrong for 68. I wonder if that paint is original. Looks too good to be IMO.

Same thing I was thinking. Looks like a $20,000 truck, something has to be fishy.

68 TRUCK

Not to be critical, but I've seen the truck. It looks a lot better in the pics than in person.

I am fairly to new this hobby, but have a 68, and the 307 did replace the 283, according to the factory brochure in 1968. I was thinking I read somewhere that to be a true anniversary model they were only available with black or white interior. Does that sound right to anyone?

the 50th anniv. models, IIRC, had white seats with gold inserts, and rare gold visors and seatbelts. I am not sure about the black.

The 50th anniversary trucks were available in CST or Custom model trucks. I have pics of both model trucks in 50th anniversary form. In the 2 CST 50th anniversary trucks I have owned both the bucket and bench seats which were a gold/white vinal type seat. In pics I have of the custom 50th the seat was a cloth type seat like the one for sale. For some reason I cannot post pics of the seats but when I can I will.

wow!! Finally found this thred again....... I just bought a truck like this today...bow-tie-bandit would you send some pics please? I posted a thread about the one I bought today, with all the options. It has the original motor which is a 327. I got it from the third owner on the truck, and he explained to me exactly who all owned this truck--- no teenagers that is...

The hubcaps are correct for a 68. They were an option. Those look to be a little faded. They were originally black and those look gray. Also there is a bowtie in the middle of the cap.

You are right, those hubcaps are correct. I have seen two versions, the first is black, the second is almost a gun metal black ( or grayish).

Ya, You guys are right. I thought they were early 90's caps at first. I just glanced at the pictures at first.
