Welcome! I'm currently not using header because I don't think any headers could tame my beasly 305! LOL!

There are some STRONG opinions about what headers to use arouund here so make sure they give ya info and if it is for your specific application.

BTW, putting in your location is just about manditory around here so we know if we are dealing with emissions or not.

I use regular hedmen long tube headers on my 78 355 . work fine for me they came with the donor truck I got when I switched to a v-8. I run 2.5" pipes with a h=pipe with flanges for access, 40 series flowmasters and header hush power flanges with alunuinm collector gaskets. pic posts are not working

I like and use Hookers...headers that is.

I don't have any pics, but they are an excellent header and have never given me any troubles.

Welcome to the board.

I like and use Hooker headers also. Just depending on how the factory ran the gas lines they may or may not to be moved out of the way. Snap-On double swivel sparkplug socket is the stuff for sparkplugs when running headers. You need to fabricate the bracket for the power steering.

I think when it was all said and done, parts and labor (welding) costed between $350-400.

Unfortunatly, the exhaust isn't complete to my standards (When is it?). I plan to put 3" 2-chamber 40 series flowmaster mufflers inplace of the ones on there now which I think is Thrushes. I've been told that anything smaller will sacrifice low end torqe.

I'm looking at getting some Sandersons for my 500, but they're damn near $500 for silver ceramic coated. I ned to be sure I'm getting a good product. Did you like the fit and finish? Any problems with their fancy no gasket, port lock system? Let me know how you like them.

Thanks!

Mine weren't quite $500 but they were still very pricey. I love them haven't had a problem with them at all. I think they look nicer than any other set Ive seen too. good luck
