Wanted: Door Wiring for 88 OBS Silverado
Hello all,
Hoping for some help on a neighbors 1988 OBS Silverado 1500. It seems the PO got a wild hair up his butt and decided that the wires behind the power window switches needed to be cut and spliced together. Of course he wasn't splicing the same colors together, no-no. He spliced different colors together and eliminated some altogether. (The Pink is one that has been eliminated and taped off) However, for greater access to the butchery, he also took the plastic plugs out of the switches and threw them away. So there is only prongs sticking out and some of the wires are just stuck on the prongs. (UGH!!) As a first step, I would like to put this back to stock before I try and diagnose the rest of the system. Since I cannot find new pigtails to repair this abomination, does anyone have a couple of plugs with a few inches of wire to solider to? One or Two switches would get me going. Please let me know. Thanks, Jay

Re: Wanted: Door Wiring for 88 OBS Silverado
Sorry can't help you there. Not even sure where my old wiring diagrams are. Only though I have is try and see if there is a pick-n-pull place where you can pull out the factory door wiring that hasn't been hacked. Good luck with it.
