Van Am/Fm radio speaker Ohm rating question
I have a Van Am/Fm i want to put in my truck. the radio is out of an appox 1975 76 chevy van. My question is did these 70's chevy van radios still need an 8-10 ohm speaker? I will just run one speaker in the center of the dash. Thanks

Re: Van Am/Fm radio speaker Ohm rating question
It's the same radio as that used in our trucks so it uses the same single speaker.

Re: Van Am/Fm radio speaker Ohm rating question
Yes, the van radios are still 10 ohm impedance.
Some van radios have a rear speaker option. If it has the rear speaker fader option, the radio will have a single light blue wire on the right side of the radio.

Quote:
http://turnswitch.com/speakers.htm Scroll about halfway to the 4x10 Delco replacement. This is what I did to replace the one in my truck. That is if you are simply wanting to stick with a stock replacement. |
