When I bought my 1st Weber Kettle BBQ 40 years ago I read there little book on how to cook things. For Turkey they said 10-12 minutes per lb So I do mine at 11 minutes per lb and they come out juicy and tender ever time. I rub the outside with Cisco cooking oil then season salt and Garlic Powder. This 21 lb bird took 4 hours, indirect method (coals on both Sides) adding a few coals every 30 min. This is the 1st year I used a meat thermometer and at 4 hr it was 170 deg. Perfect

I’ve done turkey on the Webber before also comes out very well . But for thanksgiving I use the big smoker .
