Weld new windshield frame?? Blazer
OK - I put this on the Blazer page but no success yet, so I am putting it on this page too.
I have a CST Blazer tub that is in really good shape but the windshield frame has been cut off. Can I take a windshield frame from another tub and weld it onto this one? I have a RUSTY tub, good winshield frame though. I imagine its possible, but will it still be strong enough. I don't want major structural problems in the future, but if its been done then I will give it a shot. Shawn

It was cut off pretty flush with the cowl.

Structual integrity and a blazer windshield frame do not go hand in hand. A blazer rollover without roll bars or a hard top, will crush down to the dash. REplacing the windshild frame on blazers is fairly common but personally something I would try to get a expert welder to do---knowing my limited skills.
