Rivets in door panel ?
I bought a pair of replacement doors for my 71 C10 because they were rust free and had no speaker holes etc. But both doors have a pair of rivets along the top edge panel of the door. Can anyone speculate as to why this modification is there ? or has anyone seen this before ?

Re: Rivets in door panel ?
Is there a window guide or a brace inside the door that once might have been welded thats not any more so they riveted it in place?

Re: Rivets in door panel ?
No , nothing behind it . Doesnt look like there was anything attached to them on the outside or inside . Very strange .

Re: Rivets in door panel ?
That is weird. I would guess then the previous owner had something attached there on the inside like a cup holder or something and took what it was then left the rivets to fill the holes. Anyway its a guess.

Re: Rivets in door panel ?
Something may have been mounted there before.
Then the PO use the rivets to make a Clean Non-Weld hole filler.

Re: Rivets in door panel ?
I'm pretty sure that's where the missing Corvette Edition emblems were attached...
