is this long or short

Hi all. I was thinking of buying this truck and the owner has told be it is a short bed, but looking at the pictures, it's hard to tell. It's a 4 hour drive to go look at it. What do you think.

Re: is this long or short

Both Pictures are in a (trigonometry) view.

A lot of sellers do this.

Here is the Specs for Square bodies 73-87 stuff

MODEL Wheelbase (6') Wheelbase (8')

Blazer 106.5"
C10 117.5" 131.5"
C20 N/A 131.5"
K10 117.5" 131.5"
K20 N/A 131.5"
C30 N/A 131.5
Crew Cab N/A 164.5"
Suburban 129.5"

Regular Cab
Cab & Chassis 135.5"
159.5"
159.5"

C/30
Motorhomes 127"
158.5"
178"

You got choices.

Ask the person to measure the WB.

The VIN# can tell you alot.

Or drive and look at it.

If it is a good price, you may regret your hesitation.

Re: is this long or short

Looks like a long bed to me. Below is a short bed. Similar angles. Gap between front of rear tire and rear cab is less than a door length on swb. Looks longer on truck you posted.

Thanks that's a good way to have him take a look at his. I sent him this picture and info. I'm also asking him for a side shot.

Re: is this long or short

We confirmed it was a long bed. He said it was short,,,, then said it was long. That was almost a 4 hour pointless drive.

Re: is this long or short

Looks like it was a long bed that the rear portion of the frame was cut when the flat bed was installed to make a "short bed"
