How much can you drop a truck with just coils?

Seen another post about a 2/4 drop and was wondering if you could drop more without bags or c notch?Pic would be nice. How about a 3/5?

The kit I bought from Early Classic Enterprises was advertised as a 3/5, but it's not just coils. Coils, shocks, shock mounts and adjustable panhard bar - $500.

From what I was told, it's not wise to drop more than 2" just using coils. The geometry has to give somewhere and dropped spindles need to be used if you want to go any lower than 2". I have 2-1/2" dropped spindles and 2" dropped springs. I suspected a stiff ride, but whoever manufacturs the coils has just the right combination of wire size, tensil strength and number of coils. I run relatively low profile 50' and the ride is very smooth....much smoother than I ever expected. As for the rear, I used 4" dropped coils. I have over 3" of clearance for the axle housing. I don't carry a heavy load, but then neither does anyone else who lowers their truck (normally)

It has been said that anything more than 2 inches will create bump steer.

Ive got a 72 lowerd 3/5 with springs dont really notice it untill i hit a large crator then its noticable but other than that never hits the bump stops

Dont get me wrong i would like to have spindles but ive been runnin it a year now havent had any problems it would be a wise idea to get longer upper a fram studs makes it to where you know it can be alinged properly
