7th Gen folding rear seat in a 6th gen
First, Happy new years! I’ve been sifting through the threads to see if the 60-40 forward folding rear bench seats in the 7th Gens would fit in my 6th gen, ‘71 K10, but haven’t been able to find anything. If anyone knows right off the bat or if you have a 7th gen, could you give me the dimensions on the height of the step and the full width of that mounting bracket.

Speak English man. Lol. By 7 th gen do you mean the 73-91 square body Burb seat?
If you’re talking about the aforementioned seat going into a 67-72 Burb as a second row seat, the answer is yes. They fit nicely. A smidge wider than I’d like but still very doable. I have a ‘86 fold flat second row seat in my ‘67 Burb. Very functional upgrade.

Hahha yes! Sorry. My dad used to have a ‘75 Burb thats second row seats folded flat. I want to know if I found a set of those if they would fit in my ‘71 and still be flat and fit nicely and not look like ****.
First photo is of the seats I’m talking about, the next is the back of my suburban |

Re: 7th Gen folding rear seat in a 6th gen
If you mean Squarebody second row in a Glamor series?
I did it and this link goes to my repair thread where I posted some information on how I did it. It starts at post 546 and goes on for several pages. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...698377&page=22 https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...698377&page=37 I will point out that it works well with the factory front seat I found I couldn't do it with late model seats and still drive the truck. I'm 6'2" and the deeper back of the newer seats wouldn't let the seat go back far enough for me to fit behind the wheel. Average Joe made it work with his newer seats. Joe posted a picture of his in my thread to help me out. Thanks again Joe. And Wednesday Aboard! We always like to see pictures here.

Re: 7th Gen folding rear seat in a 6th gen
I did the same swap in my 71. I got tired of taking the original seats out anytime I needed to load anything and then have them taking up space. My dads 70 suburban had the seat in it and it got totaled so I moved it to mine. The only issue I have is rolling windows up or down with the seats tilted forward due to them being up against the window crank.
