Look what I found!
After about 5-6 years of looking I finally found an almost all original truck to use as a daily driver. When we bought it a couple of weeks ago it was an inline six, straight shift no option (except trim molding) model with 91,000 original miles. Within a week it is was changed over to a V8 auto with power steering and power brakes. I also had a set of 6 lug rally's that we used to replace the original wheels with. I plan on driving this one while I do the frame off restoration of my other truck.

Looks nice!
Am I correct in reading that you looked for an all original truck to make it not all original? Still looks like a really nice drive, did you save the parts you removed? Thanks, Ryan |

I was more concerned about the body not being repaired. I didn't want a truck full of bondo or rust. Eventually I plan on upgrading this truck to look like a CST. I still have everything that I took off of the truck in case I change my mind.

Nice!!
How much did you pay? I found the exact same thing in San Antone for 1500.00. Paint is not nearlyl as good as yours, but to give you an idea of the condition, the battery stand is not rusted thru, no holes in the steel bed I waiting on income tax refund to make my final decision. Goals are: 350 ps/pb disc brakes ac 6 lug Rally rims You got me jealous. |

That truck looks too nice for a daily driver. I'd be too afraid of something happening to it. Good find.

Every tiome I see a black truck, i start getting evil idead for doing the longhorn up in black. I know how hard it is to make them look good, I know they are a PITA to clean, and waxing is a total b!tch too...but there is something about a black truck...kinda liek the pic of brittney and madonna, you just can't take your eyes off of it.

Some of us know how to shop (not me). I'd love to
find a deal like that. My truck is worth more to me than it's worth to anyone else, but a truck like you found is worth more than what you had to pay for it. I'd've kep it stock tho... There aren't too many low mileage ones like that. Does it have the option sticker in the glove box?

That is one good lookin truck. It is very depressing to me to know that you got that truck for 2G's I paid $1500 for mine and I had to replace the rockers, a cab corner & patch the passenger front fender below the battery.

Thanks guys. Actually the paint is not that great. It has 35 years of scratches and nicks. I buffed it out so it would good from a distance.
And 69_hafton, yes it has the option sheet. The only option was the trim molding on the exterior. |

Hey crank...I've been through there...actually, just last month I went through there.
Funny thing is, they have a tower painted up just like this in a town by the same name in Texas. |
