Pulleys for a Long Water Pump
I have to replace my stock short water pump with a long water pump for clearance for a Cloynes timing cover that I needed for my roller cam.
I am anticipating that I need different power steering pully (and/or bracket), water pump pulley and alternator pully (and/or bracket) so that the belts line up. I don't want to pay for an aftermarket serpentine system but rather use stock pulley/brackets. Does anyone have photos of what will work and who might sell them? Thanks guys |

Re: Pulleys for a Long Water Pump
Find a 305 or 350 sqarebody engine fully dressed. They used lwp pulleys and brackets.

Re: Pulleys for a Long Water Pump
I would ditch the aluminum cover or see if you can get it machined down. I hate long water pump conversion in a 67-72 swapping sides with alternator and AC compressor. The power steering pump brackets are completely different. Some of the serpentine setups had the accessories on the correct side so if you have to go LWP, that’s what I would be looking for.
