Quick question - ‘62 GMC K14 Suburban Stock Wheel Color?

Hey gang. What color wheels did 4x4 GMC Suburbans come with in ‘62? Has Custom badges.

Re: Quick question - ‘62 GMC K14 Suburban Stock Wheel Color?

Original wheel color on a GMC was white. Same white as bumper and grill. Only GMC used white on the wheels. Chevrolet was body color on two tone or black pn single color only.

Perfect! Thank you. I assume chrome bumpers and grill also got white?

Re: Quick question - ‘62 GMC K14 Suburban Stock Wheel Color?

Not yet. I haven’t started that search yet. This rig has squarebody axles under it, so I’d need GMC caps with a hole to take the larger hub lockouts.

This won’t be a full restoration, but we want an honest, period truck to do truck things. The parts I’m collecting will have the appropriate amount of wear and weathering to blend into this survivor.
