Thanks!!! It looks like I'll have to weld some metal on the bottoms of the seat to use it in a 67-72. Not an impossible thing. Found a later seat here for my buddys 71.

I put one in mine. Just made a metal plate to bolt to the factory holes in the seat, then used that to bolt the original sliders on to.

The person that has a seat for sale, here, says that the 81-87 is a bit narrower than a 67-72 original seat. i'm doing this for a friends 71 C10.

Are you satisfied with your later seat?

Yes they are.
Same as the seats out of the 88-92.
They will put the center of the “Sitting point” just to the right of center of the steering column, by like two inches. (I think &#129300.
I looked for a 88-92 seat for a while because I wanted the fold down arm rest and the formed seat pads.
I stopped looking when I sat in a friend’s truck and immediately noticed the “off center” ride.

While mine is nowhere near driving, just sitting in it feels fine. I have an 83 K20, and I can't feel any difference. As far as being too narrow, I can't see any problems. It looks right to me. Its a straight bench.
