It's that time again.

Fess up, what did you accomplish?

I did some secret work, but lets just say I think I'll have some good progress reports on the big block swap in the next few weeks.

Installed my bucket seats. Helped a buddy install a 110,000 BTU oil-fired furnace in his two-car garage. Continued the packing process in preparation for the move. Found a cheap aftermarket tach at the junkyard (which I'll probably buy tomorrow morning).

Troubleshooting my new w/s washer pump and associated plumbing...I still can't get any fluid out the passenger side, no matter what I try...air compressor would blow air thru the lines and out the nozzle (both ways), cleaned the nozzle out with a small piece of wire, and fluid pumps to the line but won't come out nozzle. Oh well, it works on the driver side and thats all I need. Also bought a replacement mirror at the auto parts store and put it on. Other than that, its been getting down in the negatives here at night, and not much warmer in the day, so I'm not outside much (and thank God for engine block heaters!).

Threw a set of turndowns on my exhaust to quiet it down a bit, fixed my heater blower motor and CD player (wiring was muffed up), and washed several weeks of road salt and mud from the truck.

Also found that my truck runs on 89 octane!
Just a slight bit of spark knock when accelerating from like 65 to 70 on light throttle...all i need to do is back off the timing a little bit at the vaccum advance and i should save alot of money on gas

Thought about it...the board talked me out of it. I still might get one....if i can find the right one for the right price (which i haven't so far). My rear is dying though...so who knows. Right now i am still driving it though

I painted my gauge bezel and installed it. I still have to remove and paint the steering column. Also did a test-run with my seat that I had uphoulstered over a year ago.

Blasted a washer bottle bracket, 6 fender to core support brackets, pr. hood hinges, hood release, pr. bed support rods and radiator holddowns. Boxed up a grill outer for shipment. Installed the shower and plumbing with fixtures in the new shop.
Moved an 86 4x4 1/2 ton with a 468 to storage.
And replaced intake gaskets and a water pump on a 98 x-cab with a 350 Vortec.
Took today off.

With no shop (or garage, for that matter) and since my truck is my DD (no time for projects), about all I did this weekend was watch the playoffs. Right now, Eagles & Packers tied in OT!

Cleaned(wire brush) my grill. Was going to buy a new one, but can't see spending $600. I guess it'll be chrome in a can! LOL! Temps suppose to be in the 50s the next couple days, then back in the 30s.

and pulled the steering wheel off of my tilt column will be wiring it and painting in the next couple days/

I finally got around to removing the old blue Saddleman seat covers and installed this until I get a newer style bench to replace the original.

Thanks Jim and Brad, I'm really happy with it. I think I'm sticking to my original plan to paint the truck white with teal flames. Cathy really doesn't want me to paint it black and it's her baby.

I cleaned, and cleaned, and.... I washed and detailed my wifes Denali XL first thing, then a buddy came over and we got my 02 Harley F-150 started. It appears the dome light got left on, and it was totally dead. Of course we had to take it for a drive because the battery needed to charge. Did you know that batteries charge better when the motor turns at high RPM. It's true! After a few full throttle blasts it was starting like new again:p

It's reward for giving us some grins was a coat of Zaino, and it's chrome cleaned. Then it went back under the car cover.

Next up it was the 77's turn. He got a good wipe down with my California duster, then a fresh coat of Zaino too. The wheels got a rub down with Master Formula, and the chrome got polished too. It's reward for looking so good was a trip out to the local car cruise.

I also found a proper sized box to pack up the tach dash for the 77. It gets shipped to the Tachman tomorrow....

Took off the Edelbrock 1406 and installed the 1411 ,I rebuilt last weekend , still fiddling with the electric choke it's been in the 70's here and I think I finally got it where I want it but will wait till tomorrow morning to check.
If my gas milage takes a dump I'll be back to the 1406 in a couple of weeks.

I sandblasted and painted my new jack handle (thanks 69k5!), my air cleaner, a new set of spark plug heat shields, and a set of hood hinges for my dad's 55 chevy 2-door hardtop.
