Question Rear end ID!?

How do you tell what kind of Rear end you have on your pickup? I've got a 68 c10 w/ the orginal rear in it. What is it?

99% sure it is a corporate 12 bolt...should be easy to ID by the 12 bolts holding the diff cover on. If it doesn't have 12 bolts, then it is something else...and we can probably tell you what that is, also.

That would be an option installed inside your rear....could go either way, but probably not.
Go out and do a burn out. If you leave one mark, then you either have no posi, or a burned out posi.
If you have 2 black marks in the street from one burn out, then you are in luck.

You will have to pull the rear cover off to find that out. Some were posi-trac and some were an open diff. Is your glove box tag intact?

You know, a 6 cyl w/ a 3 on the tree can only do so much! Amen?

just rev it up a little higher. Onless you have a real sick engine or a slipping clutch you should be able to lay a good 10 foot patch.
Onless you have some 275/60's out back anyways.
