Airlift airbags for rear

I have a 1972 c10 with rear coil suspension. It has 2” drop springs and a 1” drop block. I run 31x10.50-15 tires. I have the stance where I like it. I do plan to pull an open trailer with my race car on it occasionally. I looked around for air bags for a c10 and none are listed. I found some info on here, but that was for trucks dropped more than mine. I spent some time looking through Airlifts custom size airbags.
For my application I went with part number 60924. It is 5.5” x 8.5”. I think I could have went 1” taller, but I think this will work great.
I drilled a 3/8” hole through the upper spring clamp and frame for the air line to connect to the bag. Other than that, it was pretty straightforward.

I like the idea of being able to pack a couple dirtbikes atleast. Would love to hear an update on your experience months from now

Will do. Racing starts going late April around here. I’ll definitely do a test pull before then.

Very kewl. Can't see clearly in picture, but did you run they line through a grommet? It doesn't look like it in yhe picture, and with no grommet the line could be worn/cut easily

I didn’t use a grommet. With the spring clamp and frame, it’s pretty thick. It would be hard to find a grommet that size. I did drill the hole much larger than the air line, and cleaned the hole of burrs. If it becomes an issue, I left extra length on the air line for repair. I would find a slightly larger diameter piece of rubber to go over the airline.

I drove the truck tonight with no load and 20 psi in the airbags. It was rough and bouncy. I let it down to 10 psi, and it rode nice and smooth like it always does

That was a great move. You will be happy with your choice. I used Airlifts on a '70 Custom/10 I bought to use for work and used the bags in coils like you, standard height. A true 1500# boost in capacity, when needed, and same smooth ride which dropped pressure. My truck had a Reading steel topper with tools in side bins and bed, as well as walk boards, pump jacks, and ladders on top. It did great all because of those bags. Later I took the truck out of work duty and removed the topper. It rode great with the pressure dropped down
