Need Bbc Hei Distributor
Does anyone have a good BBC HEI Distributor they can let go of? Would prefer to find one in the DFW area as I need it fairly soon for my 71 w/402.
Thanks, Ernie smonty46@hotmail.com

Aren't the big block and the small block dist. the same?
If they are, then I have one I'll trade. Matthew

If this helps your search some, a small block and big block (except tall deck 427's) HEI distributers are one and the same. They all should be recurved for your engine specs regardless.

Hey Matthew,
That would be great as I just happen to have one of yours right here on the 1 ton. (HEHE). I did not know they were the same for SB and BB as this is the first BBC truck I have ever owned. If you don't mind I could use the one off your one ton and buy it or trade you something that you need for it. This way I get the distributor right away and never leave the house. What a deal! Let me know if this will be OK. I would buy you a new set of spark plug wires also as the wires on the 1 ton are new. Ernie ALSO, THANKS FOR THE INFO CPNE!

Funny story. I sold a burb to a coworker. It had a 402 in it and he wanted to change out to HEI. I called a salvage yard close by to his house and they wanted $20 for one. The next day he came in and told me the big block HEI's cost $45 and the SBC's cost $20. He was mad at me cuz it cost him more money than I told him. It soon became worse when I called him a mental midget for not remembering that I told him they were interchangable. They saw him coming!
