69 GMC Door Handle assembly
Just wrapping up the resto-mod on my 1969 GMC pickup, looking to install a Retro-fit Power Door Locking Kit with Remote Start sensor. I plan on keeping/using the original door handles...Any recommendations? Best sources, etc. If anybody's tried this I would appreciate any advice about significant issues I might run into....successful or not...Thanks much!

Re: 69 GMC Door Handle assembly
NOS GM is best quality, but due to age, some are shelf worn, and need rechroming for high end builds.
Look for part numbers 3927899 and 3927895

Re: 69 GMC Door Handle assembly
Good luck finding N.O.S. door handles. You will find many claimed to be N.O.S. that are GM Restoration Parts, not Genuine GM. The bar code on the box is the dead give away. Those are reproduction parts, same as other companies, that only GM has legal right to put their part number on and use GM packaging. The same parts can be had at normal pricing from the reproduction parts source of your choice
