Anyone know where oil might be leaking from (pic)
I'm really not too bright when it comes to mechanical problems. So does anyone know where the oil is coming from. It shoots out around and, onto the spark plug wires. I wiped my finger on the side of the head, and it was spotless, and its not coming out from the valve cover breather either. * the head looks wet but its not*
Also its not nearly as bad as it looks in the picture, thats a flash for you.

Are you sure it's not coming from the breather or the valve cover gasket? I think that is the only oil in the area. Is it possible something is leaking at the front, and blowing back there?

I'd guess it's a valve cover gasket - pretty common and easy to fix.

check the sendr unit it could be leaking bad there but that does look like its a valve cover or breather or even the oil fill thing

Dan,
If you can move the breather to the other side and put a rubber plug in it's place then claen every thing up real good then drive the truck a few day's and see if it quits. If not then i'd replace the v/c gasket. If you don't have a rubber plug you can get them at any parts shop for a few bux. |

Thanks for the help. I know for sure its not the valve cover gasket, or breather. I had alot of trouble with those on my old engine, so those were the first things I checked. I'm going to check the sender. I'll keep ya'll posted.
