1970 K5 - Does anyone know this Blazer.

I saw the Blazer on Craigslist and reached out for additional information and photos. Before I take a flight does anyone in Washington recognize this Blazer. It looks decent although I notice 72 doors, door panels and mirrors.

If you don't care about originality, that one is ok. I see a lot of corners cut. It appears to have recovered utility bucket. There seems to be a lot of 1972 items on it too.

Those could be original doors, they are not 72 which had the steel sleeve, these had the plastic ferrule it appears, which are now reproduced, I wonder if it does have the utility bucket, I would be interested in where he got the covers from

I second the thought on the doors not being '72 but using the plastic ferrel screw. But with that said looks like the corners of the doors are packed with bondo.

Good eye on the bondo and not being 72 doors

Sorry if this is a dumb question….but do all blazers have rear wheels nowhere close to centered in the wheel arch like this? It looks like it’s forward like…..many inches.

There’s an offset to accommodate rear shift under a load. This one here seems accentuated though.

The lift blocks in the rear most likely have an offset hole and pin to account for the lift. Typically pushes the axle forward 1/2"-3/4".

Looks like a flip to me. Probably all kinds of surprises hidden under the shiny paint.

Re: 1970 K5 - Does anyone know this Blazer.

Thank you everyone for all comments. I reached out to the seller for more pictures and they provided them however when I asked to go see it the seller said it is being handled through a autobroker and they will deliver the Blazer and I will have 7 days for inspection. So I am now thinking it is scam.

Shiny paint hiding cut corners on a quick flip IMO

Re: 1970 K5 - Does anyone know this Blazer.

Those look like 72 door panels, and it's got the mirror glued to the windshield, which is also a 72-only feature.

Are those zip ties on the top of the radiator?

Bottom line: Pretty girls on the internet aren't always pretty in real life... and sometimes they're not even girls. If you can't inspect it in person, I would walk away. Fast.

Don’t forget the square body shifters and probably drive train, the 4x4 one being mightily hacked up with welds still showing.

I use to be able to Google search images on my cell phone, but apparently I lost that option.

The engine color bugs me. Candy Flake Electric Tangerine? Why not good old Chevy Engine Orange?
