C10 v. C20
So, are the 73-76 C10 and C20 bodies, beds, etc. the same? Basically, I'm looking for a truck to use for a full custom build that's going to be a complete chassis and drivetrain swap. About the only parts I'm keeping from the truck are the body (incl. doors, hood, fenders, et.) bed and bumpers. I see a lot more C20s in decent shape for reasonable prices vs. C10s, so if they're the same, I'll probably just get a C20.

Re: C10 v. C20
If your location worries about emissions on that old a vehicle, C10s often had more emissions stuff then C20s. And light duty C10s more then heavy duty C10s. A lot of that stuff then was max weight based.
It might be a concern if the VIN you use comes off the cab. |

Re: C10 v. C20
Other than the emissions, the difference between a C10 and a C20 is the frame. Both frames have the same dimensions, the C20 is a thicker gauge steel. Everything mounts in the same location on both frames. I personally have always looked for a 3/4-ton over a half ton because of the frame.
