It should be 3/8-16 with 9/16 hex head.

OEM 3/8 but various lengths, depending on distributor, clamp style, and manifold.

Always check that distributor has clearance to oil pump shaft by installing without gasket. Should sit flush on manifold, then, add your distributor gasket.

Mine has a: (GR 5) 9/16” hex flange head bolt. The bolt threads are 3/8-16 x 9/16”, and the head is stamped “E”.

Re: What size is the distributor hold down bolt

From experience use a factory bolt and clamp as some of the aftrmarket ones are crap and will loosen and let your distributor move around.

Factory clamps are always better.

Why go to the internet and wait a week and possibly pay shipping??? O'Reillys, NAPA, CarQuest and most parts suppliers have them on the shelf for immediate purchase...

Mine is similar the bottom one, it's ancient and does the trick. If I remember right, it's the only tool I have that remotely works for the lower RH hood hinge bolt with the blower and inner fender mounted.
