Neat. Gets worse the farther it goes IMO.

Probably peaked (just my opinion) around 1970 (both cars and trucks). But, the same could arguably be said for other manufacturers. I have owned several Chevrolet trucks, 4 of which I purchased new, but I do not even visit the lots any more like I once did. Sadly, if they gave me a new one now, I would likely sell it.

Lightbulb Re: Time Lapse of the Chevrolet

Having owned both modern and vintage GM trucks, overall nod goes to the vintage trucks. Mine have been dead nuts reliable, easy to work on, and cheap parts. Also, there has never been such an attractive body style as the '67-'72. My only gripe on the old ones is the rust factor.

The newer ones do what they are expected to, with good economy, power and comfort. They do not have the soul of the vintage trucks, nor the visual appeal.

The Zenith of GM trucks IMHO was around 1970.

Re: Time Lapse of the Chevrolet

That looks AI generated. It would be a lot better if it were real.
