K20 progress pics

Here's a couple of pics of the current project. I would have taken more, but there were only 2 pics left on the roll.

Dana 44 front with the powdercoated frame and rear driveshaft in the background:

The rear axle. The trans and transfer case are painted (orange) and ready to go. The next step is to put the axles under the frame again and then tear into the motor.

BTW, does anyone have a set of front leaf springs for a 3/4 ton? One is shot, and I need to get a new set.

Looks good so far ! Im going to have to do the same thing next summer. Mine still looks fine, but im a bit of a perfectionist and as i have not coated the undercarriage personally, its the only way i can be satisfied nothing will go south . What kind of rear end do you have, to go with that 44 ?

Looking good! I'm just a few steps in front of you with my latest K20 project. I was right where you are in the fall.

What gears do you have? 4.11/4.56? Do you have a locker in the rear?

I wish I had saved my stock springs for you when I put my new ones on.

It's a 3.73 open with a 4 spd. I wish it was a 4.xx ratio! Perhaps a future upgrade!

Bushy - the rear axle is the corporate full-floater.

Did you put the 3.73 gears in the rearend? I didn't know the corporate ever came factory with 3.73. I thought 4.10 was the highest gear?

This is me a few months ago with front and rear axles installed and installing the new big brakes in the back. This one has 4.56 locker in rear and posi in the Dana 44 front.

What year is that? It has a Eaton axle but your sig says 72. I thought they were using the 14 in 72.

Love that Powder coat!
