I am sure the truck vendors sell new gauges, but the face material may be plastic rather than metal...iirc the stock ones are metal?

I know you are having issues with the reading , my 85 would at times peg the needle other times it would read zero . Then it started bouncing around I added a mechanical to confirm it wasn’t a mechanical problem . I then replaced the sender and the gauge reads normal again . Most aftermarket suppliers will have a replacement gauge . I kept the mech and installed the new switch in front over the timing chain cover

I replaced the sender when my gauge starting acting up, that fixed it.

I sure hope that is my probem as i have been told that to replace a pump is easier to take the motor out rather than take the H channel out to get the pan out..

Also if you have the wrong sending unit it could through the gage way off . I had that problem a couple of times on cars and trucks . Usually it was with the temp sender but I’ve had problems related to oil pressure senders too .
