Sorry for the hijack, but would you mind explaining how you were able to remove these without destroying the trim or the clips? I am so afraid to attempt to remove mine to do some needed body work. Thanks.

I made a trim removal tool out of a small piece of aluminum plate. I curved the plate to match the body profile, and I cut a V notch into it which depresses the tabs. This got most of them pretty easily. Some of them I had to use two 2” putty knives and depress from each side while prying out on the trim. I would not want to do this on a rig with nice paint.
